In a significant operation, the administration in Bajitpur village, Chhaurahi circle, Begusarai district, removed encroachment from government land on Tuesday. This drive was launched following an order from the Manjhaul Sub-Divisional Office, with Block Development Officer Priya Kumari and Circle Officer Chandra Prakash Pandey, along with a large police contingent, present at the scene.

The action was taken under encroachment case number 05/2024-25. A complaint had been received regarding the illegal occupation of a total of 3 bighas, 13 kathas, and 17 dhurs of land in Thana No.-03, Khata No. 218, and Khesra No. 1539 of Bajitpur Mauja. According to government records, this land is designated as a public thoroughfare.

To prevent any untoward incidents during the demolition drive, a substantial police force was deployed. The order stipulated the deployment of 40 male and 40 female police personnel, along with police officers and two senior officials. Chhaurahi Station House Officer Parvendra Kumar was appointed as the supervising police officer, and a police team led by Roshan Prasad also arrived at the site.

The operation was carried out peacefully in the presence of administrative officials and local villagers. With the encroachment removed, the government land designated for the public path has been cleared, bringing relief to the villagers. Officials and police officers present were given strict instructions to maintain law and order. Following the completion of the encroachment removal process, officials have been asked to prepare a detailed report and submit it to higher authorities.
