The Jagannath Rath Yatra, which concluded in Begusarai on Sunday, continued to be a major topic of discussion across the city on Monday. People in Main Market, Harhar Mahadev Chowk, and GD College Ground were seen discussing the grandeur, discipline, and massive turnout of the procession. This Rath Yatra, a tradition for many years, has now become a significant part of Begusarai's cultural and spiritual identity.

Organized under the aegis of Radha Kunj Bihari Math Hare Krishna Center, the Rath Yatra saw a large number of devotees from the city and surrounding rural areas arriving to witness the beautifully adorned chariots of Lord Jagannath, Baldev, and Subhadra. Throughout the procession route, flowers were showered, and Hare Krishna chants resonated. Devotees showed immense enthusiasm to pull the ropes of the chariots.

According to the organizers, the Rath Yatra concluded with religious and cultural programs at GD College Ground. A devotional band from Mumbai performed late into the night, filling the ground with chants of 'Hare Krishna'. Devotees stayed until late, immersed in kirtans and bhajans. Approximately 25,000 devotees partook in the Mahaprasad, and a 'Chhappan Bhog' was offered to Lord Jagannath. The festival concluded with a grand Aarti.

Numerous volunteers played a crucial role in managing traffic, distributing prasad, arranging drinking water, and guiding devotees, ensuring the entire event remained disciplined. Pallav Kumar and Saurabh Sippy, associated with the Yatra, stated that its scope has expanded significantly in recent years, with active participation from various sections of society, including traders, youth, women, and children. The event is now evolving into a celebration of social harmony. They expressed hope that in the future, Begusarai's Jagannath Rath Yatra could become one of Bihar's prominent religious events, boosting religious tourism and the local economy. The procession traveled from Saryu Sadan to GD College Ground, with devotional songs and Hare Krishna kirtan playing along the entire route.
