Police have taken significant action following the student protests and unrest in Begusarai on Thursday. An FIR has been registered at Nagar Thana against 6 named individuals and 2500 unknown persons, with 5 protestors already arrested. Efforts are underway to identify the remaining individuals.

In light of the bandh called for Saturday, the administration has appealed for peace and maintenance of law and order. SP Manish urged students and their parents in Begusarai to cooperate, emphasizing that while every citizen has the constitutional right to protest, vandalism, violence, or damage to public property will not be tolerated. He clarified that peaceful demonstrations are the true strength of any movement, and taking the law into one's own hands or damaging property can not only tarnish a student's social image but also severely impact their future career.

The administration is on high alert for the bandh announced by protestors for Saturday, with police prepared to handle any situation. The SP stated that peaceful and lawful protests are acceptable, but any illegal or violent demonstrations will be met with strict action.

Considering student safety, District Education Officer (DEO) Manoj Kumar has ordered all coaching centers in the district to remain closed until Saturday. He explained that a large number of students attend coaching classes early in the morning, and this measure was taken to prevent any untoward incidents following the protests related to the NEET issue. Police have also appealed to the public and students to help identify anti-social elements and have issued helpline numbers (9031828303 and 112) for emergencies.
