A government program organized at the Teghra block headquarters in Begusarai district to mark 100 days of the new Bihar government has sparked controversy. Public representatives and locals have raised serious questions regarding the event's execution. It is alleged that the in-charge Block Development Officer (BDO) cum BPRO, Sangeeta Kumari, conducted the program in her office chamber with a limited audience instead of the auditorium, treating it as a mere formality.

According to official directives from the Chief Secretary of Bihar (letter no. 1360, dated July 23, 2026), all block headquarters were instructed to organize programs with the active participation of public representatives, intellectuals, women's groups, entrepreneurs, and dignitaries. However, in Teghra, the event was concluded with only two public representatives and a few block staff members present, undermining the government's objective of broad public engagement.

Panchayat committee members Jyoti Kumar, Anuj Kumar, Lalan Kumar, Bindu Devi, Savita Devi, and 20-point committee member Shyam Kishore 'Chhote' alleged that they were not even informed about this significant government program. Angered by this oversight, these leaders have demanded an impartial investigation into the matter and strict action against the concerned official.

In response to the allegations, in-charge BDO cum BPRO Sangeeta Kumari clarified that information about the program was sent to all concerned parties by the administration. She further explained that the District Magistrate had instructed that, in view of the Bihar Bandh call, the program should be conducted smoothly while ensuring security and order.
