भागलपुर में जिला विधिज्ञ संघ के चुनाव को लेकर वकीलों में खासा उत्साह देखने को मिला। मंगलवार को हुए मतदान में बड़ी संख्या में अधिवक्ताओं ने अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग किया। यह चुनाव कई मायनों में महत्वपूर्ण था, क्योंकि इसमें भागलपुर में उच्च न्यायालय की खंडपीठ की स्थापना का मुद्दा केंद्रीय विषय के रूप में उभरा। वकीलों का मानना है कि खंडपीठ की स्थापना से न्यायिक प्रक्रिया में तेजी आएगी और मुवक्किलों को भी राहत मिलेगी, क्योंकि उन्हें पटना उच्च न्यायालय तक की लंबी यात्रा नहीं करनी पड़ेगी।
