With flood conditions persisting in the Raghupur and Kharik areas of Bhagalpur district, the district administration has intensified its relief and rescue operations. A review meeting was held, chaired by District Magistrate Alankrita Pandey, to assess flood-related relief and rescue efforts in Raghupur and Kharik. The DM issued clear instructions to officials, emphasizing the need to prevent any chaotic situations at the worksites. She directed concerned officers to conduct continuous inspections and regularly monitor all flood control-related activities.

The District Magistrate instructed the operation of relief work and community kitchens as needed in flood-affected areas. She stressed that all essential basic facilities should be provided to flood-affected people at the panchayat and block levels. This includes ensuring adequate availability of drinking water, toilets, and sanitation. Instructions were also given to regularly check the quality of food items and drinking water and to submit inspection reports to the District Disaster Management Branch.

Addressing the drinking water problem, directives were issued to install additional hand pumps as required in waterlogged areas. The Executive Engineer of the Public Health Engineering Division, East Bhagalpur, was asked to inspect affected areas and take necessary action where new hand pumps are needed. During the review of health arrangements, the Civil Surgeon informed that temporary medical camps are being run at the community kitchen and erosion sites in Raghupur Panchayat, where essential medicines are available. The DM directed the deployment of doctors and paramedical staff to these temporary medical camps as per requirement.

Special arrangements have also been ordered for young children and infants. The Child Development Project Officer has been asked to provide milk and essential food items according to the age of children in all community kitchens and relief camps to prevent nutritional problems. For the safety and health of livestock, veterinary doctors have been deployed by the Animal Husbandry Department in all relief camps. The District Magistrate has instructed officials of all concerned departments to effectively discharge their duties and immediately report any problems encountered in flood-affected areas to senior officials so that timely action can be taken.
