A home guard jawan was severely beaten by auto drivers at the Bhagalpur bus stand gate on Monday night after he asked them to move their vehicles. The incident occurred when the home guard, identified as a duty officer, requested the auto drivers to clear the main entrance of the bus stand to facilitate passenger movement. This request escalated into a heated argument, quickly turning into a physical assault.

Eyewitnesses reported that the auto drivers, angered by the home guard's directive, ganged up and attacked him, inflicting injuries. The incident caused significant chaos and panic at the bus stand. Upon receiving the information, local police promptly arrived at the scene. They swiftly took action, detaining two auto drivers involved in the assault. The injured home guard was transported to a local hospital for medical attention, where his condition is now reported as stable after receiving first aid. Police are currently investigating the matter further and are working to identify and apprehend other auto drivers who were part of the attack. Authorities have stated that strict measures will be implemented to maintain traffic order at the bus stand and prevent similar incidents in the future.
