A robbery attempt at a jewellery shop in Madhurapur, Bhagalpur district, was thwarted thanks to the quick thinking and bravery of the shop owner and his son. One thief was apprehended on the spot, while his accomplice managed to escape. The incident occurred on Sunday night at RK Jewellers in Madhurapur.

According to shop owner Ravindra Kumar Sah, as he and his son were closing the shop and heading home late at night, they noticed suspicious activity. Upon approaching the shop, they saw two individuals attempting to break open the shutter. Without hesitation, Ravindra Kumar Sah and his son confronted the thieves. A scuffle ensued between the father-son duo and the two perpetrators.

During the altercation, Ravindra Kumar Sah and his son successfully subdued one of the thieves. However, the second thief exploited the darkness and fled the scene. The arrested individual has been identified as Rahul Kumar, a resident of Barari police station area in Katihar district. Local police were immediately informed and arrived at the scene to take the arrested thief into custody. Police are now actively searching for the absconding accomplice.

Authorities stated that Rahul Kumar is being interrogated to gather information about his partner and other members of the gang. This incident has raised concerns about security in the Madhurapur area, with local traders urging the police to increase patrols and take concrete steps to prevent such occurrences. The bravery of Ravindra Kumar Sah and his son is being widely praised by the local community.
