A CRPF jawan and his brother were brutally assaulted in Udiyaan Tola village, under the Tiyar police station area of Bhojpur district. The incident stems from an ongoing dispute related to the management of an old legal case. The injured have been identified as CRPF jawan Krishna Bhagwan Singh (43) and his brother Nandlal Singh (37). Both were admitted to Sadar Hospital in serious condition for treatment.

CRPF jawan Krishna Bhagwan Singh, posted in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh, was home on leave since July 17 for farming. He stated that the dispute dates back to 2015 when his relatives (patidar) allegedly attempted to kill his younger brother. An FIR was lodged at the local police station regarding that incident, and now the relatives were pressuring them to withdraw or 'manage' the case.

According to Krishna Bhagwan Singh, on Sunday morning, he and his brother were working in their field, overseeing paddy transplantation. During this time, his relatives Anil Mahto, Mahendra Mahto, and Ramji Mahto, along with other family members, arrived armed with sticks, batons, and sharp weapons. Without any provocation, they began assaulting the two brothers. While attempting to flee, the attackers struck both brothers on the head with sharp weapons, causing severe injuries.

Tiyar Station House Officer Rajiv Ranjan Kumar confirmed that there was a pre-existing dispute between the two parties, which led to the assault. The police are currently investigating the matter thoroughly and will take necessary action against the culprits.
