रविवार को पीरो एसडीपीओ कन्हैया कुमार ने हत्याकांड का खुलासा करते हुए बताया कि दुर्गपुर गांव निवासी सत्येंद्र सिंह उर्फ अलगू के बेटे मोहित राज की हत्या 27 अक्टूबर की रात को की गई थी। उसका शव अगले दिन 28 अक्टूबर की सुबह करथ गांव स्थित बिरहर करहा के समीप से बरामद किया गया था।
पुलिस की जांच में सामने आया कि मोहित की मां मानती देवी का गांव के ही संतोष कुमार सिंह के साथ प्रेम संबंध था। मोहित इस संबंध का लगातार विरोध करता था, जिसके कारण मां और बेटे के बीच अक्सर झगड़े होते थे। बेटे के विरोध से नाराज मानती देवी ने अपने प्रेमी संतोष के साथ मिलकर मोहित को रास्ते से हटाने की योजना बनाई। आरोप है कि मां के कहने पर संतोष कुमार सिंह ने दो अन्य लोगों के साथ मिलकर मोहित की हत्या को अंजाम दिया।
बताया गया कि 27 अक्टूबर की शाम मोहित करथ बाजार स्थित एटीएम से 6 हजार रुपये निकालकर घर लौट रहा था। देर शाम तक वह घर नहीं पहुंचा तो परिजनों ने उसकी तलाश शुरू की। अगले दिन सुबह उसका शव मिला, जिससे इलाके में सनसनी फैल गई। मृतक के पिता सत्येंद्र सिंह उर्फ अलगू ने संतोष कुमार सिंह सहित तीन लोगों पर हत्या का आरोप लगाते हुए प्राथमिकी दर्ज कराई थी। उन्होंने बताया था कि संतोष का उनके घर आना-जाना था, जिसका मोहित विरोध करता था और इसी बात पर पहले भी विवाद और धमकियां मिली थीं।
एसडीपीओ के अनुसार, तकनीकी और वैज्ञानिक साक्ष्यों के आधार पर जांच आगे बढ़ी। पुलिस ने मोहित की मां को हिरासत में लेकर पूछताछ की, जिसमें उसने हत्याकांड की साजिश में अपनी भूमिका कबूल कर ली। तरारी थानाध्यक्ष पंकज कुमार ने बताया कि मानती देवी और संतोष कुमार सिंह के बीच अक्सर फोन पर लंबी बातचीत होती थी और पति की अनुपस्थिति में संतोष उनके घर भी आता था। पुलिस का कहना है कि सभी आरोपितों की पहचान कर ली गई है और मुख्य आरोपित संतोष कुमार सिंह व दो अन्य की गिरफ्तारी के लिए लगातार छापेमारी की जा रही है।

On the evening of October 27, Mohit had gone to withdraw Rs 6,000 from an ATM in Karth market. He was returning home but did not arrive, prompting his family to search for him. His body was found the next morning, causing a stir in the area. Mohit's father, Satyendra Singh alias Alagoo, filed an FIR, accusing Santosh Kumar Singh and two others of the murder. He stated that Santosh frequently visited their home, which Mohit opposed, leading to prior disputes and threats.
According to the SDPO, the investigation progressed based on technical and scientific evidence. Mohit's mother was taken into custody for questioning, where she confessed to her role in the murder conspiracy. Tarari Station House Officer Pankaj Kumar confirmed that Manti Devi and Santosh Kumar Singh had frequent long phone conversations, and Santosh visited her home when her husband was away. Police stated that all accused have been identified, and continuous raids are being conducted to arrest the main accused, Santosh Kumar Singh, and the two others.
