A 63-year-old cyclist died in a tragic road accident on Tuesday in Bhojpur district. The incident occurred near Bharsara Market in the Jagdishpur police station area when an unidentified vehicle struck the elderly man. The deceased has been identified as Shiv Kumar Singh, a resident of Kodhwa Tola village, also in the Jagdishpur police station area, who worked as a laborer.

According to reports, Shiv Kumar Singh was on his way to Bharsara Market on his bicycle when he was hit by an unknown vehicle, sustaining severe injuries. His relatives rushed him to a private hospital in Jagdishpur, from where he was referred to Ara Sadar Hospital for better treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. Doctors at Sadar Hospital declared him dead upon arrival.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police reached Sadar Hospital, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Sunil, the nephew of the deceased, stated that his uncle was going to the market when the accident took place. Shiv Kumar Singh was the second among four brothers and is survived by his only son, Arun Yadav. His wife, Tulsi Devi, had passed away a few years ago. The tragic incident has left the family in deep shock, with all members grieving inconsolably. Police are currently searching for the unidentified vehicle and its driver.
