A one-day 'Bhojpuri Painting Exhibition cum Art Seminar' is being organized today, August 3rd, at Mahant Mahila College in Arrah. This event is a joint initiative of Aasra Sewa Kendra and Prabhav Creative Society, Arrah. The unique event will feature an exhibition of folk art paintings along with a special 'Batkahi' (ideological discussion) on the preservation of Bhojpuri art and culture.

The exhibition will showcase a unique blend of traditional Bhojpuri heritage and handicrafts. It will display various artworks including traditional Bhojpuri Pirhiya writing, Kohbar writing, cloth birds, cushion covers, jute wallets, canvas bags, wool-made Thali Paros, applique sarees, silk dupattas, table cloths, Odiyas, Daliyas, and crocheted thread garlands.

To ensure the success of the event, senior artists from the region and the college administration have appealed to the city residents. Senior painter Kamlesh Kundan and art teacher Roshan Rai emphasized the need to preserve the invaluable cultural values of Bhojpuri art. Senior Bhojpuri artist Anita Pandey expressed confidence in the success of this exhibition. Dr. Prof. Narendra Pratap Palit, Principal of Mahant Mahila College, invited citizens to attend the exhibition, connect with their folk culture, and offer their valuable suggestions. Preparations for the exhibition are in their final stages, with several young local artists including Aman Raj, Abhinav Mishra, Sangeeta Kumari, Ankita Sinha, Mukesh Choudhary, Sushil Vishwakarma, and Gudiya Kumari participating with their artworks.
