Bihar's Cabinet Minister for Food and Consumer Protection, Ashok Choudhary, visited the famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday morning and participated in the Bhasm Aarti. Dressed in saffron attire, the JDU leader appeared engrossed in devotion to Lord Shiva and praised the temple's arrangements and facilities for devotees. During his visit, he also took the opportunity to criticize the opposition regarding the ongoing 'village tax' dispute in Bihar.

Minister Choudhary attended the renowned Bhasm Aarti at the Jyotirlinga Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain early Sunday. During the prayers, he was seen in saffron robes, holding a rudraksha rosary, completely absorbed in Shiva worship. After the Bhasm Aarti concluded, S.N. Soni, Deputy Administrator of the Temple Management Committee, welcomed and honored him.

Speaking to the media after his darshan, Minister Choudhary stated that he has been regularly visiting the Mahakal दरबार for the past 25 years and observes positive changes in the temple complex every time. He lauded the temple administration and local district administration's management amidst the continuously increasing number of devotees. He highlighted that despite the immense crowds during the Sawan month, the darshan process has become very smooth and transparent through online booking and verification systems.

Minister Choudhary's statement on Bihar's controversial 'rural development tax' issue also garnered attention during his Mahakal visit. Responding to the opposition's attacks on the decision to impose taxes in villages, he clarified that resources and revenue are essential to accelerate development work. He accused the opposition of lacking substantial issues and engaging in unnecessary politics over every administrative step aimed at development.
