A shocking incident has been reported from Siwan district, Bihar, where 30-year-old Mohammad Nadeem Hussain was attacked with acid and then allegedly set on fire inside his shop in Saraiya village, GB Nagar police station area. Nadeem succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

According to his sister, Afsana Khatoon, they were informed about the incident around 8 PM on Wednesday (November 4). Upon reaching the spot, they found Nadeem in a critical condition and rushed him to Siwan Sadar Hospital, where he died. Afsana stated that while being taken to the hospital, Nadeem mentioned that three people were involved in the attack but couldn't name them due to his severe condition.

Following the post-mortem on Thursday, Nadeem's family members protested by placing his body on the road in Alawalpur. They demanded the suspension of the GB Nagar SHO and the immediate arrest of the culprits. Afsana declared that they would not remove the body until the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police arrived at the scene.

Sadar SDO Ashutosh Kumar Gupta and SDPO Pranjal, along with police forces, arrived to manage the situation. Officials assured the protestors that an FIR has been registered, and an investigation is underway. They promised strict legal action against those found guilty. The incident has caused significant tension in the area. This incident follows other acid attack cases reported in Bihar recently, including one in Begusarai on October 12, 2026, and another in Samastipur on July 29.
