Five minor girls, who were abducted on Thursday evening from the Biharganj police station area in Madhepura district, have been safely rescued by the police within just four hours of filing the FIR. In connection with the incident, two minor youths have also been apprehended, and legal proceedings against them as juveniles in conflict with the law have been initiated. The police acted swiftly, recovering the girls from another district.

The incident occurred around 3 PM on Thursday in Kusthan village. The five minor girls had gone to collect grass when some boys from the village allegedly took them away with the intention of marriage. Their families searched for the girls throughout the night but found no trace. On Friday morning, around 11:30 AM, the families lodged a written complaint at the Biharganj police station, leading to the registration of case number 315/26 and the commencement of an investigation.

Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, a special team was formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh and led by Udakishunganj SDPO Ashish Raj. This team included Police Inspector Santosh Kumar Gupta, Biharganj Station House Officer Lavkush Kumar, SI Mehboob Alam, the DIU Madhepura team, SWAT team, and Biharganj police station reserve guard. The special team acted quickly, recovering all five minor girls and the two minor youths from an inter-district area within approximately four hours.

During a press conference held on Friday evening, SDPO Ashish Raj stated that preliminary investigations suggest the case is related to a love affair. He also mentioned that the roles of other individuals involved in the incident are being investigated. Police anticipate that the full details of the case will become clear after questioning the rescued minors and conducting a thorough investigation. Further legal action is ongoing.
