Anant Chaturdashi was celebrated with great fervor on Friday in Bihariganj block headquarters and several surrounding panchayats of Madhepura district. On this auspicious occasion, a large number of devotees gathered from morning at various temples and public worship places, including Naya Bazar Shiv Mandir, Maa Chandika Sthan Mandir, and Rambagh Shiv Mandir in Bihariganj, as well as temples in panchayats like Padariya, Babhangama, Madhukarchak, and Gamail Laxmipur Lalchand.

Priests performed the rituals for Lord Anant with Vedic chants. Devotees listened to the story of Lord Anant and, after the puja, tied the sacred Anant Sutra with 14 knots on their hands. Men and women observed fasts, praying for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of their families.

According to religious beliefs, Anant Chaturdashi is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu's infinite form. It is customary to tie a 14-knotted Anant Sutra on this day, which is associated with Lord Vishnu's blessings and prosperity in life. Religious stories emphasize the significance of Lord Vishnu's infinite form and the Anant Vrat. Despite the rain, the devotees' faith remained strong, with prayers, storytelling, and प्रसाद (offerings) distribution continuing in temples since morning. People also performed Anant Bhagwan puja at home, seeking peace and prosperity for their families.
