In Simri Paschim, Bisfi block, Madhubani district, the construction of a school building for the Upgraded Middle School has been stalled for the past three years. This has severely impacted the education of 271 enrolled students, who are often forced to study in the open due to a lack of adequate classrooms.

The situation worsens significantly during the rainy season. During this time, only a few classes can be accommodated in the limited available rooms, while other students have to be sent home early. This disruption is hindering the children's regular studies and negatively affecting the school's overall academic system.

Rajesh Kumar Ranjan, the school's headmaster, stated that approval was granted for a new two-room building. Construction began and reached the lintel level but then ceased. He mentioned that the building has been incomplete for approximately three years, and the contractor involved has not resumed work. Students studying outdoors face numerous difficulties, including issues like bird droppings, which prevent them from having a safe and conducive learning environment.

The headmaster has informed education department officials about the problem. Attempts to contact Shekhar, the Block Education Officer (BEO) of Bisfi block, for comment were unsuccessful as he did not answer his phone. Villagers and parents are demanding the swift completion of the unfinished building to ensure children have access to safe and sufficient classrooms.
