On Thursday morning, the discovery of a middle-aged man's body in the fields between Mania and Dharnipur villages, within the Dhansoi police station area, caused a stir in the locality. As news of the body spread, a large number of villagers from nearby areas gathered at the scene. Upon receiving information, Dhansoi Station House Officer (SHO) Vikas Kumar arrived with his police team, took the body into custody, and initiated an investigation.

Villagers identified the deceased as सीताराम ठाकुर (Sitaram Thakur), approximately 55 years old, a resident of Chhatupur village. Following the incident, there is widespread speculation among the villagers that the man was murdered, although the police have not yet confirmed these claims. Police stated that the exact cause of death would only be clear after the post-mortem report is received. SHO Vikas Kumar mentioned that the body has been sent for post-mortem, and further details can only be provided once the report is available. The deceased had no wife or son, but leaves behind a daughter, who has not yet filed any application.
