A minor couple in Bhagalpur's Buddhachak police station area, who had eloped, got married with the consent of their families after being released from police custody. The incident came to light on Wednesday when a Dial-112 team brought them to the police station.

According to reports, both the boy and the girl are minors and were in love. They had run away from home on Wednesday, prompting their families to inform the police. The Dial-112 team quickly located them and brought them to the Buddhachak police station, where their respective families also arrived.

During discussions between the police and the families, it became clear that the couple wished to marry each other. Both families then agreed to the union and decided to arrange their marriage. The Buddhachak Station House Officer stated that since both were minors and their families had mutually consented to their marriage, the police did not intervene. After their release from the station, the families proceeded with the wedding according to local customs. The incident has become a topic of discussion in the area, highlighting a resolution achieved through family consensus.
