A case of sexual abuse involving a 3-year-old boy has emerged in the Muffassil police station area of Buxar, near a Durga Puja pandal. Suraj Chaubey, a 30-year-old resident of the village, is accused of luring the child into a paddy field about 100 meters away and committing the act. The police acted swiftly and arrested the accused.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Saturday night around 9 PM. The child was playing near the pandal when the accused took him to the nearby paddy field. Due to the loud noise at the pandal, the child's cries went unheard. The child returned home crying and informed his family, who then alerted the police.

Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene. They identified the accused, Suraj Chaubey, with the help of CCTV footage and promptly arrested him. Muffassil Station House Officer Shambhu Bhagat stated that the child has been sent to the Sadar Hospital for medical examination. Buxar Sadar DSP Gaurav Pandey is also investigating the matter.

This incident has raised serious concerns about child safety at public gatherings. Villagers and experts have urged parents to be vigilant and not leave children unattended at such events. It is also emphasized that children should be taught to immediately inform a trusted adult if anyone attempts to touch them inappropriately or take them away.
