स्थानीय लोगों ने बताया कि इस समस्या को लेकर वे कई बार जल संसाधन विभाग के अधिकारियों से मिल चुके हैं और उन्हें लिखित आवेदन भी दिए हैं। हालांकि, अधिकारियों की ओर से केवल आश्वासन ही मिला है, जमीनी स्तर पर कोई काम नहीं हुआ है। ग्रामीणों ने प्रशासन से तत्काल इस दिशा में कार्रवाई करने और तटबंध की मरम्मत कराने की मांग की है ताकि किसी बड़े नुकसान से बचा जा सके। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि जल्द ही कोई कदम नहीं उठाया गया, तो वे विरोध प्रदर्शन करने को मजबूर होंगे।
