A dispute between a landlord and a tenant in Shastri Nagar, under the Chhatauni police station area of Motihari, escalated dramatically, leading to an incident of firing. What began as a verbal argument reportedly culminated in the landlord allegedly firing a pistol in the air. The sound of the gunshot caused panic and chaos among the residents of the neighborhood.

The accused landlord, identified as Monu Singh, fled the scene immediately after the incident. Upon receiving information, the police arrived at the spot and initiated an investigation. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was also called to collect scientific evidence. The FSL team recovered an empty shell casing from near the crime scene, confirming the firing. Police are currently investigating the matter thoroughly and are searching for the absconding landlord. The incident has left residents of Shastri Nagar in a state of fear.
