A cancer detection camp was recently organized at the Mohiuddin Nagar Community Health Center (CHC) in Samastipur district. A total of 76 individuals were screened during the camp, aimed at early detection of potential cancer cases. The camp, initiated by the health department, saw active participation from the local community.

During the camp, a team of health workers and doctors provided information about various cancer symptoms and risk factors. The screening process included physical examinations, questionnaires, and necessary preliminary tests. Following the screenings, three suspected patients exhibiting potential cancer symptoms were identified among the 76 individuals. These three patients have been referred to higher centers for further detailed investigation and treatment. Expert doctors at these higher centers will conduct thorough examinations of these cases and provide appropriate medical care.

CHC in-charge Dr. Jitendra Prasad stated that early detection of cancer is crucial for its successful treatment. He emphasized that organizing such camps helps raise cancer awareness in rural areas and encourages people to get timely check-ups. Dr. Prasad also informed that the health department regularly organizes such health camps to ensure access to healthcare services in remote areas. He appealed to the public to take advantage of these camps and remain vigilant about their health. This initiative plays a vital role in strengthening healthcare services in Bihar and combating serious diseases like cancer.
