The Durga Puja festival in Chhaurahi block of Begusarai district concluded peacefully, with no untoward incidents reported from the start of the celebrations to the idol immersion. The smooth conduct of the festivities was attributed to the diligent oversight by puja committees, volunteers, and the local administration.

Large crowds of devotees gathered in several villages across the block, including Wajitpur, Baraipura, Ibrahimpur, Singhma, Bardaha, Shahpur, Chhaurahi Bazar, Matihani, Narayanpippar, and Pansalla. All pandals were equipped with CCTV cameras, and the administration deployed magistrates and police forces at sensitive locations to maintain law and order.

Cultural programs such as bhajan-kirtan, Devi Jagran, and plays were organized during the puja. On Tuesday evening, effigies of Ravana were burnt in Wajitpur and Chhaurahi Bazar, attracting a large number of spectators. The Bardaha Puja Committee also hosted a kabaddi competition final, attended by dignitaries including MLA Abhishek Anand, JDU State Council member Ramesh Kumar Rana, and senior leader Rajiv Kushwaha.

SDM Amit Kumar Singh, DSP Amarkant, Inspector Mahanand Chaudhary, BDO Priya Kumari, CO Chandra Prakash Pandey, and SHO Parender Kumar closely monitored the law and order situation throughout the festival. The Sharadiya Navratri festival concluded on Wednesday with the immersion of idols.
