A tragic road accident in Bausi, Banka district, resulted in the death of a young child after a Hiwa truck overturned. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning when the uncontrolled truck lost balance and flipped over. The child died on the spot, sending a wave of grief through the community.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Hiwa truck was speeding when it suddenly went out of control and overturned. Despite immediate efforts by the child's family and locals to rush him to the hospital, it was too late. The child's body has been sent to Banka Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Following the incident, significant anger was observed among the local residents. They alleged that such accidents are frequent in the area due to the high speed and negligent driving of heavy vehicles. They have urged the administration to curb this menace and ensure strict adherence to traffic rules.

Police have taken swift action, registering a First Information Report (FIR) at the traffic police station. Officials stated that a case has been filed against the unidentified Hiwa driver under sections related to negligent driving and causing death. The police are investigating to identify and apprehend the driver, who fled the scene after the accident. The Hiwa truck has been seized.
