The Civil Surgeon of Banka district recently conducted a surprise inspection of the Community Health Center (CHC) in Belhar. The primary objective of this inspection was to assess the quality of healthcare services, sanitation, and facilities provided to patients. The Civil Surgeon meticulously reviewed various departments within the hospital premises, including the OPD, emergency ward, medicine distribution center, and cleanliness arrangements.

During the inspection, the Civil Surgeon expressed satisfaction with the overall arrangements but also emphasized the need for improvements in certain areas. Specific directives were issued regarding better patient interaction, ensuring the availability of medicines, and maintaining hygiene within the hospital premises. He stressed that no negligence in providing healthcare services would be tolerated, and all staff members must fulfill their responsibilities diligently.

The Civil Surgeon also held a meeting with the in-charge medical officer and other health workers, offering several crucial suggestions to streamline the hospital's operations. He reiterated that ensuring access to healthcare in rural areas is a government priority, and Community Health Centers play a vital role in this. Emphasis was also placed on the effective implementation of vaccination programs, maternal and child health services, and other national health initiatives. The Civil Surgeon warned that strict action would be taken against concerned employees if any irregularities were found in the future, expressing hope that adherence to these directives would further improve healthcare services at Belhar CHC, providing better medical facilities to the local populace.
