In a significant drive, the Tarapur administration on Thursday cleared encroachments from public drain land in Lachhanpur, the ancestral village of Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. Under the leadership of Circle Officer Santosh Kumar and with the presence of police forces, several illegal structures were demolished using JCBs, freeing the drain land from encroachment.

The Circle Office initiated an investigation after receiving an application regarding the encroachment. Subsequently, notices were issued to the concerned individuals to remove the encroachments. While some voluntarily removed their illegal structures within the stipulated time, many others failed to comply. Following this, the administration took strict action, demolishing the remaining illegal constructions with the help of JCBs.

Illegal constructions by Raju Alam, Fazal, Shoaib, Mehboob Alam, and Tohid Mansoori were removed during this operation. Station House Officer Rajkumar was present on site with police personnel to ensure law and order. Circle Officer Santosh Kumar stated that prompt action was taken after receiving the application, and public utility land was freed from encroachment. He reiterated that illegal occupation of government land would not be tolerated under any circumstances, and the drive against encroachment would continue. The administration's stern action has created a sense of fear among encroachers.
