A pall of gloom descended upon Bhagichak village, under Ramnagar Panchayat in Jamalpur block of Munger, on Friday morning after the body of 55-year-old Subodh Goswami was recovered from a well, just 50 meters from his home. The tragic incident has left his family devastated and the entire village in shock.

According to the deceased's wife, Sunita Devi, Subodh Goswami had left home around 6 PM on Wednesday for some work. When he did not return late into the night, his family members searched for him extensively, fearing the worst, but found no trace. On Friday morning, his body was discovered in the well, shocking his family and villagers.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the Ramnagar Police Station team, led by officer Deshbandhu Kumar, reached the spot, assessed the situation, and gathered information. Outraged family members and villagers have demanded a fair investigation into the cause of death. BJP Block President Manish Dayal Goswami has also spoken with Ramnagar Station House Officer Ravindra Verma and Circle Officer (CO) Preeti Kumari, urging an impartial investigation and prompt government compensation for the aggrieved family.

Subodh Goswami was a daily wage laborer who supported his family through hard work. He is survived by his wife, Sunita Devi, and three sons, Nitish, Anand, and Dhoni Kumar. The sudden death of the family patriarch has left his loved ones grief-stricken. Police stated that all aspects of the case are being investigated, and the exact cause of death will be revealed only after the investigation is complete.
