The Indian National Congress in Bettiah staged a strong protest against the alleged misappropriation of funds collected for the construction of the Ram Mandir and various policies of the central government. The demonstration, held on Wednesday at the main square of Bettiah town, saw a large turnout of Congress workers and local leaders. Protestors chanted slogans against the central government and demanded a fair investigation into the alleged misuse of funds collected in the name of the Ram Mandir.

Congress leaders accused that crores of rupees were collected nationwide for the Ram Mandir's construction, but there is a lack of transparency in its accounting, and funds have allegedly been tampered with. They stated that this is a betrayal of the faith of millions of devotees, and the government should intervene immediately to take strict action against those responsible.

During the protest, Congress workers also expressed their displeasure over the central government's rising inflation, unemployment, and other anti-people policies. They highlighted that the prices of petrol, diesel, and cooking gas are skyrocketing, making life difficult for common citizens. Additionally, the youth are struggling with unemployment, and the government is not taking concrete steps to address this issue.

Speaking to the media, the District President of Congress affirmed that their party would continue to fight for public issues. He stated that whether it's the alleged Ram Mandir fund theft or the central government's anti-people policies, the Congress is committed to holding the government accountable and ensuring justice for the public. He warned that if the government fails to address these issues, the Congress will launch larger movements in the future. The protest remained peaceful, with no reports of untoward incidents.
