In Darbhanga, the Congress and Mithila Student Union (MSU) held separate protests on Wednesday against recent paper leaks, examination irregularities, and police action during student protests in Delhi. Congress workers symbolically burned an effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while MSU members protested by burning an effigy of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Under the banner of the District Congress Committee (Urban), workers marched from the District Congress Office to Laheriasarai Tower Chowk. They carried an effigy of Prime Minister Modi, chanting slogans against the central government, and later burned it at Tower Chowk. Congress leaders condemned the lathi-charge on students, the use of tear gas, and the alleged mistreatment of opposition leaders as actions against democratic values. They affirmed that Congress would continue its fight to protect the Constitution, democracy, and the rights of the youth. Prominent Congress members including Dayanand Paswan, Ratikant Jha, Ehsan Siddiqui, and Syed Tanveer Anwer were present.

Following the protest, a press conference was held at the District Congress Office under the "Chhatron Ki Goonj" (Voice of Students) campaign. Presided over by District President Dr. Jamal Hasan, former National General Secretary of Youth Congress, Puran Chandra Padhi, stated that over 7.5 crore students have been affected by 152 paper leak incidents across the country in the last 12 years. Congress reiterated its demand for a fair and transparent examination system, impartial investigation into paper leak cases, and strict action against the culprits.

Meanwhile, the J.N. College Nehra unit of the Mithila Student Union, led by college president Sonu Mehta and Muskan Kumari, burned an effigy of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Students chanted slogans against paper leaks, the deteriorating education system, and police actions during the student movement in Delhi. Gautam Jha, MSU University President, highlighted that continuous paper leaks are jeopardizing the future of millions of students. He demanded stringent action against those responsible and the resignation of the Union Education Minister on moral grounds. Student leader Ramesh Baba warned that if the government continues to ignore student demands, MSU would expand its movement to every village and college.
