A highly decomposed body of an unidentified person was found on Monday near the Kamla River, adjacent to NH-27, within the Jhanjharpur police station area of Madhubani district. The discovery caused a stir in the locality.

Upon receiving information, a police team led by Jhanjharpur Station House Officer (SHO) Sunil Kumar Singh immediately arrived at the scene. The police took possession of the body and initiated an investigation. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team also reached the spot to collect evidence.

As of now, the identity of the deceased remains unknown. Police are taking necessary actions to identify the body and ascertain the cause of death. Preparations are underway to send the body to Madhubani Sadar Hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities are checking missing persons reports from nearby police stations and questioning local residents to aid in identification. SHO Sunil Kumar Singh stated that the full truth of the incident and the identity of the deceased would only become clear after the investigation is complete. The police are thoroughly probing the entire matter.
