Rajgir, Nalanda. On the first Monday of the Shravan month, the historic Baba Siddhnath Temple, located on the Vaibhargiri mountain in Rajgir, Nalanda district, witnessed a massive influx of devotees. From early morning, devotees started arriving for 'jalabhishek' (offering water to the deity), filling the temple premises and the mountain path with chants of 'Bol Bam' and 'Har Har Mahadev'. Thousands of devotees from Rajgir, Nalanda, and surrounding districts came with their families to offer prayers to Lord Shiva.

Devotees performed rituals by offering Ganga water and other holy water on the Shivling. Many took a purifying bath before the 'jalabhishek' and prayed for the prosperity and well-being of their families. Police personnel were deployed at the temple premises to ensure the convenience and security of the devotees, managing the long queues effectively.

Pandit Ashutosh Kumar Pandey explained the special religious significance of the first Monday of Shravan. He added that a large number of devotees visit Baba Siddhnath Temple every year for 'jalabhishek', and it is believed that the wishes of those who pray with a true heart are fulfilled.
