Bihar continues to witness violent incidents over trivial matters. In a recent case from Porai village, under Harnaut police station in Nalanda district, a 47-year-old tractor driver, Sunil Kumar, was shot dead late Tuesday night following a dispute over parking a motorcycle in a narrow lane.

According to the victim's family, during an attempt to resolve the argument, a neighbor identified as Saurabh Kumar allegedly shot Sunil in the head amidst a crowd. The incident caused panic in the village, and Sunil's death plunged his family into deep grief.

Villagers reported that two motorcycles were parked in a narrow alley, and their owners could not be identified. The ward councilor was informed, and the police were called via Dial 112. Meanwhile, two brothers from the neighborhood, Saurabh Kumar and Gaurav, arrived and claimed the bikes belonged to their relatives, leading to an altercation and verbal abuse between the two sides.

Sunil's grandmother, Malti Devi, stated that villagers and elders were trying to mediate and calm the dispute when Saurabh retrieved a weapon from his house and shot Sunil Kumar in the head. Sunil sustained severe injuries and collapsed. He was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Family members revealed that Sunil worked as a tractor driver outside the village and had returned home just three days prior for a holiday. This tragic incident, occurring so soon after his return, has devastated the family. Sadar DSP-2 Rakesh Kumar Ranjan confirmed that raids are being conducted at possible hideouts to apprehend the accused.
