A 20-year-old domestic worker, Meena Kumari, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a rented room in Kurji Balu, Digha police station area, Patna. Meena Kumari, originally from Maner, worked as a maid to earn her livelihood and lived alone in the rented accommodation.

Upon receiving information, the Digha police arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Police have initiated an investigation into the entire incident. Local residents reported that Meena had been ill for the past few days. Initial suspicions suggest she might have consumed a poisonous substance due to illness and mental stress.

On Tuesday morning, neighbors found the young woman unconscious with foam coming out of her mouth. They immediately informed the police. Upon arrival, the police confirmed that she had passed away. The Digha Station House Officer stated that the room was locked from the inside. When the door was opened, the woman was found dead on the bed. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of death by poisoning. However, the exact cause of death will only be revealed after the post-mortem report is available. Police are investigating all angles to uncover the truth behind her demise.
