The District Magistrate (DM) recently conducted a comprehensive review of ongoing road, safety, and Railway Over Bridge (ROB) construction projects. During the meeting, the DM issued strict directives to officials for the immediate removal of all encroachments along roadsides. The DM emphasized that such encroachments not only obstruct traffic flow but also significantly increase the risk of accidents.

Special attention was given to the progress of ROB construction projects. The DM instructed the concerned departments to ensure these projects are completed within their stipulated timelines, warning that any negligence would not be tolerated. It was highlighted that ROBs are crucial for alleviating traffic congestion at railway crossings and facilitating smoother public movement.

Furthermore, the DM issued important instructions regarding road safety. Officials were directed to ensure adherence to all safety standards on roads, including the installation of proper signage, speed breakers, and zebra crossings. Regular inspections of roads were mandated, with immediate action to rectify any identified safety deficiencies. The DM also called for road safety awareness campaigns to encourage public compliance with traffic rules.

The DM sternly warned all attending officials that strict action would be taken against any laxity or negligence in carrying out these public interest works.
