Eastern Railway General Manager (GM) Milind Deouskar is scheduled to visit Jamalpur on July 19. The primary purpose of his visit is to conduct an annual inspection of the Jamalpur Railway Station and the Jamalpur Rail Workshop. This inspection is considered crucial for reviewing railway operations, safety standards, and passenger amenities.

GM Deouskar will be accompanied by several senior officials from Eastern Railway, including the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) and heads of other key departments. This team of officials will spend the entire day in Jamalpur, surveying various locations.

During the inspection, the General Manager will assess passenger facilities at Jamalpur Railway Station, such as platform conditions, cleanliness, drinking water arrangements, waiting areas, and security measures. Additionally, he will visit the Jamalpur Rail Workshop to evaluate its production capacity, the quality of repair work, and employee working conditions.

According to railway sources, GM Deouskar may also discuss ongoing projects and newly proposed plans on the Jamalpur-Bhagalpur railway section.
