प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, विनोद यादव अपने खेत में पटवन कर रहे थे और तभी अचानक बिजली के तार से उन्हें जोरदार झटका लगा। मौके पर मौजूद लोगों ने तुरंत मदद के लिए पुकारा, लेकिन जब तक उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाया गया, तब तक उनकी मौत हो चुकी थी। घटना के बाद, परिजनों और स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने बांका सदर अस्पताल परिसर में जमकर हंगामा किया। वे बिजली विभाग की लापरवाही का आरोप लगा रहे थे और मुआवजे की मांग कर रहे थे। उनका कहना था कि बिजली के तार काफी पुराने और जर्जर हो चुके हैं, जिनमें अक्सर लीकेज की समस्या रहती है, जिसकी शिकायत कई बार की जा चुकी थी, लेकिन कोई कार्रवाई नहीं हुई।
पुलिस प्रशासन ने मौके पर पहुंचकर स्थिति को संभाला और ग्रामीणों को शांत कराया। पुलिस ने बताया कि शव का पोस्टमॉर्टम कराया जा रहा है और मामले की जांच की जाएगी। परिजनों को उचित मुआवजा दिलाने के लिए प्रशासन द्वारा आवश्यक कदम उठाने का आश्वासन दिया गया है। इस घटना ने एक बार फिर ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में बिजली के जर्जर तारों की समस्या और उससे होने वाले हादसों की ओर ध्यान खींचा है। स्थानीय लोगों ने सरकार और बिजली विभाग से इस गंभीर समस्या पर तत्काल ध्यान देने और जर्जर तारों को बदलने की मांग की है ताकि भविष्य में ऐसी घटनाओं को रोका जा सके।
