Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh's birthday was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Manikpur police station area of Suryagarha block in Lakhisarai district. The event was organized on Tuesday night near Konipar Chandni Chowk under the banner of the Tal Crop Protection Committee (Tal Banshipur-Konipar-Bakarachak-Dighdi).

The venue was adorned with banners featuring Lalan Singh's photographs, and a beautifully decorated cake on the table added to the festive atmosphere. Krishnachandra Mahto, president of the Crop Protection Committee and a retired army jawan, presided over the program, while Sandesh Patel, general secretary of the committee and a teacher, conducted it. Sachchidanand Singh, vice-president of the committee, and Praveen Kumar, member of the Bihar State Farmers Commission, jointly cut the cake, which was then distributed among the farmers and supporters present.

Speakers lauded Union Minister Lalan Singh's political journey and his contributions to the development of the Munger parliamentary constituency. They wished him good health, long life, and a bright political future. Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh currently serves as the Union Minister for Panchayati Raj, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. He has also been the National President and Bihar State President of Janata Dal (U). His political career includes serving as a Rajya Sabha member, winning Lok Sabha elections from Begusarai and Munger, and being a member of the Bihar Legislative Council. He further strengthened his political hold by winning the Munger Lok Sabha seat again in 2019 and 2024.

Approximately 150 farmer members and several dignitaries from the area, including committee guardian members Vishnudev Mahto and Dev Narayan Prasad, attended the event.
