Araria. The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Araria, organized a one-day training program for farmers on weed control and integrated weed management in paddy cultivation. The primary objective of the training was to educate farmers about identifying weeds in paddy crops, understanding the damage they cause, and implementing timely and effective scientific control techniques.

During the training session, scientists from the KVK helped farmers identify various major weeds found in paddy fields. They explained in detail how weeds compete with crops for nutrients, water, and sunlight, leading to significant reductions in paddy yield. The scientists also highlighted the economic losses caused by weeds and discussed preventive measures.
