A tragic road accident in Narayanpur, Bhagalpur district, resulted in the death of one person. The incident occurred on Tuesday when an unknown vehicle struck and killed the individual. The deceased has been identified as a local resident. Following the accident, enraged family members and local residents staged a protest on National Highway 31 (NH-31), demanding compensation.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place on Tuesday morning in the Narayanpur police station area. The victim was reportedly on his way from home when a speeding unknown vehicle hit him. The impact was so severe that the person died on the spot. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene immediately after the incident.

Upon receiving news of the accident, a pall of gloom descended upon the victim's family. Soon, a large number of villagers and relatives gathered at the accident site. They blocked NH-31, accusing the administration of negligence. Protesters demanded compensation and strict action against those responsible. The road blockade led to long queues of vehicles on the highway, causing significant inconvenience to commuters.

The protest, which lasted for approximately 45 minutes, was eventually diffused after local administration officials arrived at the scene.
