A tragic road accident occurred on Friday near Dhoba Bridge on the Fatuha-Daniyawan road in Patna. An out-of-control gas tanker, approaching from behind, collided with a couple on a motorbike, resulting in the spot death of 37-year-old Soni Devi. Her husband, Pintoo Paswan, and their young child, Rishabh Kumar, also sustained injuries. The family was returning home on their bike after bathing at a ghat when the incident took place.

The deceased woman was identified as Soni Devi, wife of Pintoo Paswan, a resident of Berthu village under Karay Parsurai police station in Nalanda district. The collision was severe, causing Soni Devi to fall onto the road and be run over by the tanker, leading to her instant death. Pintoo Paswan and child Rishabh Kumar suffered minor injuries.

Upon receiving information about the accident, Fatuha police immediately arrived at the scene. The police took custody of the body and sent it to Patna for post-mortem examination. The incident created a chaotic situation on the road, and traffic on the Fatuha-Daniyawan route remained disrupted for approximately one hour. Long queues of vehicles formed on both sides of the road, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. Police had to work hard to clear the jam and normalize traffic flow.
