Patna: The Rail Police conducted a major operation at Fatuha railway station, seizing 131.5 liters of illicit liquor and arresting two individuals on charges of liquor smuggling. The action was carried out across three different trains, and a case has been registered under the Excise Act.

According to information, the Rail Police launched a special raid operation at Fatuha station based on confidential intelligence. During the operation, an individual disembarking from a train was apprehended, found to be carrying a large quantity of liquor. Following interrogation, raids were conducted at other locations based on his disclosure. In this sequence, consignments of liquor were also recovered from a second and third train, and another smuggler was caught.

Among the seized liquor are bottles of various brands, with an estimated market value in the lakhs. Rail Police officials stated that this action is part of their ongoing campaign against illicit liquor. They clarified that continuous surveillance is being maintained to curb liquor smuggling through railway routes, and strict action will be taken against such elements. Interrogation of the arrested smugglers is ongoing, aiming to uncover the entire network of this illegal trade. Police hope that these arrests could lead to the exposure of a larger liquor smuggling syndicate.
