The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with immense joy, enthusiasm, and a spirit of patriotism across the Garkha block in Saran district. On this auspicious occasion, the national flag, the Tiranga, was proudly unfurled at various government offices, private institutions, panchayat buildings, political party offices, and educational institutions throughout the block. Following the flag hoisting, the national anthem was sung collectively, and sweets were distributed among the people, creating a festive atmosphere.

After the flag hoisting in various schools, students presented patriotic cultural programs. Children actively participated and showcased their talents. Those who performed exceptionally well were awarded and encouraged, further strengthening their sense of national pride.

At the block headquarters, In-charge Block Development Officer (BDO) Priya Bharti officially hoisted the flag. In the Garkha police station premises, Station House Officer Subhash Kumar Singh, at the Mufassil Anchal office, Police Inspector Srijan Kumar, and at the hospital premises, In-charge Medical Officer Dr. Sarva Kumar, hoisted the national flag and saluted it. At the Amar Shaheed Indradev Memorial, the memorial committee's president, Baidyanath Prasad Singh Vikal, unfurled the Tiranga, paying homage to the martyrs.

The Tiranga also flew proudly at the offices of political parties. Former MLA Gyanchand Manjhi at the BJP office, Block President Ajay Kumar Singh at the JDU office, and local MLA Surendra Ram at the RJD office officially hoisted the flag and extended Independence Day greetings to their workers. The enthusiasm for Independence Day was also high in rural areas and social institutions. Mukhiya Manoj Singh at Shreepal Basant Panchayat Bhavan, Mukhiya Mukesh Kumar Singh at Kudarbadha Panchayat Bhavan, Mukhiya Munni Devi at Garkha Panchayat Bhavan, and Ashok Prasad Gupta at Lakshmi Seva Sadan hoisted the flag. Educational institutions in the block also celebrated the occasion with dignity, including UMS Kanya Vidyalaya Narayanpur, Kudarbadha +2 Vidyalaya, and Jawahar Lal ITI.
