Police in Ghogha police station area of Bhagalpur district have seized 28.5 liters of illicit country-made liquor from a four-wheeler during a vehicle checking drive. The action was taken near BMP Bhatta on NH-80. As part of the regular vehicle inspection campaign conducted by the police, a suspicious car (registration number JH 09V 8325) was searched.

During the search, 95 bottles of Royal Jharkhand C Liquor brand, each containing 300 ml, were recovered from the vehicle, totaling 28.5 liters. Ghogha Police Station SHO Ashutosh Kumar stated that the vehicle has been seized and necessary legal action is being taken in the matter. Police are now investigating the origin of the liquor and its intended destination. Efforts are also underway to identify the driver of the vehicle and other individuals involved in this liquor smuggling operation. Police have clarified that continuous vehicle checking drives will be conducted in the area to curb the illegal liquor trade, and strict action will be taken against those involved in such cases.
