गोपालगंज में साइबर अपराधियों ने एक डॉक्टर के व्हाट्सएप अकाउंट को हैक कर लिया और उनके एक परिचित से 40,000 रुपये की ठगी की घटना को अंजाम दिया है। यह घटना साइबर अपराध के बढ़ते मामलों की एक और मिसाल है, जहाँ अपराधी नए-नए तरीकों से लोगों को अपना शिकार बना रहे हैं।
मिली जानकारी के अनुसार, अपराधियों ने डॉक्टर से ब्लू डार्ट कूरियर कंपनी का एजेंट बनकर संपर्क किया। उन्होंने डॉक्टर को बताया कि उनका एक पार्सल आया है, लेकिन उसे प्राप्त करने के लिए उन्हें एक छोटी सी राशि का भुगतान करना होगा। इसके लिए उन्होंने डॉक्टर को एक लिंक भेजा और उसे क्लिक करने तथा अपनी जानकारी भरने के लिए प्रेरित किया। जैसे ही डॉक्टर ने उस लिंक पर क्लिक किया और अपनी जानकारी भरी, उनका व्हाट्सएप अकाउंट हैक हो गया।
व्हाट्सएप अकाउंट हैक होने के बाद, अपराधियों ने डॉक्टर के परिचितों से पैसे मांगने शुरू कर दिए। उन्होंने डॉक्टर के एक परिचित को संदेश भेजा और उनसे तत्काल पैसों की आवश्यकता बताते हुए 40,000 रुपये की मांग की। परिचित ने डॉक्टर के नाम पर आए संदेश पर भरोसा कर लिया और बिना पुष्टि किए पैसे ट्रांसफर कर दिए। बाद में जब डॉक्टर को इस घटना का पता चला, तो उन्होंने अपने परिचित से संपर्क किया और तब जाकर ठगी का खुलासा हुआ।
इस घटना के बाद डॉक्टर ने तुरंत साइबर थाने में शिकायत दर्ज कराई है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही है और अपराधियों की तलाश में जुटी है। यह घटना एक बार फिर इस बात पर जोर देती है कि लोगों को ऑनलाइन लेनदेन और अनजान लिंक्स पर क्लिक करते समय अत्यधिक सावधानी बरतनी चाहिए। किसी भी संदिग्ध संदेश या कॉल पर तुरंत भरोसा न करें और संबंधित व्यक्ति से सीधे संपर्क कर पुष्टि अवश्य करें। साइबर सुरक्षा विशेषज्ञों का कहना है कि ऐसे मामलों में ओटीपी (वन टाइम पासवर्ड) या किसी भी निजी जानकारी को साझा करने से बचना चाहिए, क्योंकि अपराधी इसी का फायदा उठाकर ठगी करते हैं।

Following the hack, the criminals began soliciting money from the doctor's contacts. They messaged an acquaintance, claiming an urgent need for ₹40,000. Believing the message to be from the doctor, the acquaintance transferred the money without verification. The fraud came to light when the doctor later contacted the acquaintance and discovered the deception.
The doctor has since filed a complaint with the cyber police, who are currently investigating the matter and searching for the culprits. This incident serves as a crucial reminder for everyone to exercise extreme caution when dealing with online transactions and suspicious links. Always verify the identity of the sender through direct contact before making any financial transactions or sharing personal information, especially OTPs.
