An FIR has been registered against a youth in Gopalganj for allegedly sharing objectionable posts on social media, aiming to disturb social harmony. The case was filed by the Baikunthpur police station based on a written complaint by Station House Officer (SHO) Ravi Shankar Kumar on Thursday. According to the police, on November 4, the SHO received information on his official mobile phone that a young man was circulating offensive content via a Facebook account.

Upon receiving the information, the police immediately initiated an investigation. With the assistance of the technical cell, the relevant Facebook account was thoroughly scrutinized. Based on the technical investigation, the youth responsible for the posts has been identified. Police stated that such activities can spread misinformation and pose a threat to public peace. Efforts are underway to apprehend the accused. The police have also urged the public not to share any objectionable content on social media and to report such posts immediately.
