A tragic road accident in Gopalganj district saw a school bus run over two siblings, resulting in the spot death of a 4-year-old boy and critical injuries to his sister. The incident, which occurred in the Bhore police station area of Gopalganj, has sparked widespread anger among locals.

The deceased child has been identified as 4-year-old Ayush Kumar, a resident of Kalyanpur village in the Bhore police station area. His sister, 6-year-old Anushka Kumari, sustained severe injuries. The children were reportedly playing near their home on the roadside when an uncontrolled school bus struck them. The bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident.

Eyewitnesses rushed injured Anushka to a nearby hospital. Due to her critical condition, doctors referred her to Gorakhpur for advanced treatment. Ayush's family is in deep shock and grief over his untimely death.

Enraged by the incident, local villagers blocked the road, demanding compensation for the victims and the immediate arrest of the absconding bus driver. Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the scene and tried to pacify the crowd. The blockade was eventually lifted after the police assured the villagers of appropriate action. Police have sent the body for post-mortem and launched a search operation to apprehend the bus driver. This incident has once again raised serious concerns about road safety and the regulation of school buses.
