Govind Singh Charan has officially assumed charge as the new Station House Officer (SHO) of Nokha Police Station in Rohtas district. He took over from the outgoing SHO, Rajesh Kumar. Upon taking office, Charan stated that maintaining law and order and controlling crime in the area would be his top priority. He specifically pledged to accelerate 'Operation Neelkanth,' an initiative primarily focused on taking stringent action against illegal liquor and drug traffickers.

Speaking to the media after assuming charge, Govind Singh Charan affirmed that crime would not be allowed to flourish in the Nokha region at any cost. He emphasized that individuals involved in criminal activities would be identified, and strict legal action would be taken against them. He also appealed to the public for their cooperation, urging them to promptly report any suspicious activities or information to the police so that appropriate action can be taken in a timely manner.

Charan identified curbing the illegal drug trade as one of his major challenges. He announced that under 'Operation Neelkanth,' continuous raids would be conducted on drug traffickers' hideouts, leading to their arrests and incarceration. He also clarified that individuals found consuming alcohol or other intoxicating substances would face action according to the rules.

The new SHO stressed the importance of promoting community policing to maintain peace and harmony in the area. He believes that effective crime control is possible only through better coordination between the police and the public. He also instructed officers and staff to perform their duties with integrity and honesty and to treat the public courteously.
