A 'Student Support Camp' was organized at the Government Degree College, Harlakhi, located in Umgaon, within the Harlakhi block headquarters of Madhubani district. The primary aim of this camp was to foster the holistic development of students, address their academic and practical challenges, and enhance their awareness regarding education and career opportunities.

The camp, held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Ravindra Kumar Thakur and led by In-charge Principal Dr. Aditya Kumar Jha, saw active participation from Block Development Officer Ravishankar Patel, Sub-Inspector Dipu Kumar from Harlakhi Police Station, and Headmaster Mohammad Reyaz Ahmed of Deen Dayal +2 High School, Umgaon. They engaged directly with the students, discussing the importance of education, regular college attendance, active classroom participation, developing a questioning mindset, rights to equality and freedom, and various future and career-related topics.

BDO Ravishankar Patel emphasized that education is not merely a means to pass exams but a crucial tool for developing an individual's thoughts, personality, and social responsibilities. He encouraged students to cultivate logical thinking, independent thought, and a deep understanding of every subject. He also stressed the importance of regular study, active involvement in college classes, and developing a habit of reading, recommending at least two novels per month and studying NCERT books from classes 6 to 12.

Headmaster Mohammad Reyaz Ahmed motivated students towards education, discipline, and continuous study with clear goals. The interactive session also covered college facilities, including NCC, various activities, higher education prospects, competitive exams, and diverse career options. Faculty members from various departments, along with other teaching and non-teaching staff, were present. Students found the camp highly beneficial and expressed the need for similar guidance sessions in the future.
