A second youth, Mohd. Murad, who was injured in a road accident in the Harlakhi police station area of Madhubani district, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday. Earlier, Mohd. Imamul had also died in the same incident. Enraged by the deaths of both youths, their families and villagers blocked NH-227 near Beta Parsa Chowk on Wednesday morning, disrupting vehicular movement.

Mohd. Murad was the son of Mohd. Ismail, a resident of Beta Parsa. Both deceased youths were married and had young children, leaving their families in deep mourning. The protestors demanded the immediate arrest of the driver responsible for the accident and adequate compensation for the victim's families.

Upon receiving information about the road blockade, Harlakhi Station House Officer (SHO) Ranjit Kumar arrived at the spot with police forces. He engaged in discussions with the families and villagers, attempting to pacify them. The SHO stated that the police are continuously raiding to apprehend the absconding driver and vehicle owner and stand with the victim's families. Further legal action is being taken in the matter.
